remember your roots.

A watercolour house portrait is a tangible way to remember all the little details of somewhere special. Whether it’s a childhood home, family cottage, first date café, wedding venue, or beloved vacation spot, each building tells a story.

A watercolour portrait is perfect for . . .

  • Couples seeking a unique anniversary gift for their partner

  • Families moving into a new home, or leaving an old home behind

  • Elders moving into a retirement residence or long-term care

  • Small business owners celebrating milestones or moving locations

  • Real estate agents looking for a unique and meaningful client closing gift

  • Wedding planners seeking a thoughtful gift for their newlyweds

how to order your very own portrait!

  1. Gather your reference images. I can work from black-and-white photos for old homes if you know the colours that were there originally, or Google Maps street views for far-away places if there is a clear view of the building from the road.

  2. Fill in the form below to request your painting.

  3. I will contact you within 48 hours by email to confirm details and request your reference photos. I’ll ask you about specific things you would like included or excluded from your portrait (changing the season or adding pets or certain flowers in the gardens are common requests).

  4. I will ask you to sign a contract and pay a non-refundable 50% deposit. This allows me to get started on your sketch!

  5. I send the completed sketch to you for approval or edits within 1 week. Once we have confirmed everything is looking good, I start painting. Please allow 3 weeks for your painting to be completed after the sketch is approved. If you need it done sooner I can usually accommodate, but will need advance notice and sometimes charge a rush fee.

  6. Your portrait is finished! The remaining amount is due before I send the painting to you in a tracked package via Canada Post.

All payments are collected via e-transfer.
